Always bringing cheers and beers to every event.

The Adlers Band started in September 1979. The founder and rhythm guitarist Adi Adler, along with singer, manager and “band mother” Tina Adler, along with their son accordionist, Barry, formed the trio.

Barry's high school best friend, Eddie Spatarella joined the band a few months later giving the band its distinctive rhythm to this day as their drummer. Anthony DelBagno, another high school best friend of Barry's, joined the band in 1991 playing acoustic/bass guitars, and vocals. Guitarist, Nick Conte joined the band in 2022, bringing with him new elements of country and rock. Recently, Nick has introduced fiddle into the bands ever changing sound. The addition of another vocalist has added a new layer to the already rich vocals of the Adlers.

Austrian and German Alpine music formed the core, and as time progressed, additional musicians to the band- including one of New Jersey’s top Polka band leaders of the 1950’s and 1960’s, Tony Szurka helped to launch this band into performing its Polish repertoire and nudging the band in a new positive direction. As musical tastes had changed and time marched on into the new millennium, The Adlers Band adapted to the changes keeping its core music that remains timeless to its nature, but also now features Party Rock music that conforms to the demands of modern times.

The latest band consists of Barry Adler, Eddie Spatarella, Anthony DelBagno and Nick Conte. Featured musicians include Dana Sylvander (Trumpet and additional Brass) and Joe Mariany (Sax, clarinet and flute), and special friend, Mike Kilmer (MC, showman, percussions, drums and vocals).

Barry’s son Carlton, who has supported the band since he could remember, is now our band road manager, and has helped us get to and from gigs during the busiest of Oktoberfest seasons.

Past Musicians

Our friend, saxophonist and clarinet player Johnny Grisbacher played with us on most of our gigs for decades, until he recently retired, but he still performs with us for select gigs. Lead Guitarist, John Miksza joined us in 2010, and he has been a key component of our sound for 10 years. John recently retired, and we thank him for the talent he shared on stage with us.
